Today is our anniversary - 31 blessed years! My honey had to work, so I made a special dinner (noon time meal) - one of his favorites! Anne Ida (

Steak fingers, corn, mashed potatoes, cream gravy on light bread, garden salad with ranch dressing and fresh milk (yes, I said "fresh" - I milk a cow!).
For dessert: Chocolate meringue pie!
Is your mouth watering yet!!!
Blessings

Happy 31st anniversary!! Hope you both enjoy your special day (even if he had to work).
Yes, my mouth is definitely watering looking at your pictures! Even though it's less than two hours since I had stir fry noodles with ham, asparagus and onion, and a big bite of rhubarb crumble for dessert :-)
...ok, this is starting to remind me of day-to-day chats with my best friend growing up - back then we lived next door to each other, and one of us came to the other's door almost every night to check what the other family had for supper *lol*
Doniene, Happy Anniversary! We went out for dinner with my folks last night for our 33rd and their 59th. Yes, we were married on their 26th anniversary. But Sunday we had all the local family over for dinner to celebrate my husband's birthday (earlier in the week), Father's Day and the two anniversaries. Our menus? Roast beef, potatoes and gravy, garlic and thyme carrots, green salad, fruit salad, breadsticks and for dessert--my husband requested a two layer banana cake. I made that for him, but when I had been grocery shopping the pears had been so nice and ripe that I also couldn't resist a pear pie. Usually it is a toss-up for me between cherry pie or chocolate cream, this is my new favorite dessert since I took a class from a master pastry chef at a local kitchen store. Yummm!
Oh my goodness!! I haven't had food like that in a loooonngggg time!! You could start your own restaurant!
I'm ashamed that we're having sandwiches tonight!
Happy Anniversary. What a wonderful dinner to celebrate.
That's just wrong to not only tell me you are making Dad my absolute favorite pie, but then to also put a giant huge delicious picture of it up?! Now I want your chocolate cake (and no not a picture of it) and pie!!
Love ya Mom!
Happy Anniversary. And yes I would have loved to taste your chocolate pie (pie=pai in Norwegian)
