I Won These!!

Today was our quilt guild meeting, and I won the drawing for the BOM!!! They are called 'Maple Star' and they are pieced with fall colors. As you can see, there are 15, so I will only need to make one more to make a four by four setting. Right now I like them on point, with setting squares, but this is where I need your help. I would love suggestions about settings and color of setting squares, or sashing and borders.

Happy Fall Ya'll

Wow, Doniene. You hit the jackpot with these blocks. I love fall colors. Good for you. I do like them on point.
As far as setting squares go, the first thing that came to mind was chain blocks. But what I love to do with a set of blocks is peruse Sharyn Craig's books, Great Sets and Setting Solutions. They have so many beautiful options for setting blocks that take you way beyond the usual. I see several that would be great with these blocks, but some would take more effort than chain blocks. Don't know how much effort you want to expend to assemble the top.

Congratulations, Doniene!
These are fabulous! Love the colours.
Once it's finished, it will be a most wonderful piece in your home, I think.
Cheers!

Jeanneke.

Oh, lucky you! What Janet suggests sounds good, but if you don't want to piece anything an unpieced block of lovely fabric would show off these beautiful blocks. You would just need to audition different fabrics to see which one you like. Sometimes blocks need to wait for the right solution to come along!

Oh you hit the jackpot with those - they are so pretty! And so perfect for this time of year! Can't wait to see what you decide to do with them, but you're right, they do look great on point.

Take care and happy quilting :-)
