I love postage stamp quilts!!! This one I call my "Wilderness Quilt". I totally hand pieced this quilt during a time when we were in a transition stage for our family and I needed to keep my hands busy. My goal was to use recurring fabrics but to not have any identical blocks - but I do have two blocks that are the same. My children and some of their friends would make nine-patch combinations for me, so it became a family project. I have not yet quilted it - not sure what design I want to use - any suggestions? And I had other projects take first place so the top has been set aside. I was blogging and one of my favorite blogs is "Inspired by Antique Quilts" and when I saw Kathie's postage stamp nine-patches I just had to share. I thought I was seeing double!!! Way to go Kathie!!! My second daughter is stitching a postage stamp quilt like yours and she does it in small sections, too.
Blessings!!!
P.S.
Kathie just made a clarification for me! My nine patch is not a true postage stamp quilt, but a nine patch made with small squares! Thanks Kathie

Border Collie Update/Mikkie's Wedding Quilt
Wow what a busy weekend, but I had such a good time. There were five of us that gathered at our home to practice working our Border Collies. I'm not much of photographer, because I end up watching and forgetting to take pics, but we had a great time and ate bunches of good food, too!!
This is my friend Pat that just got the sheep in the pen with her young dog Patch. Yeah, Pat!!
This is my dog Tate holding the sheep until we can load them in the trailer. We had a good day of practice, and we got our sheep in the pen, too!
This is the whole cloth quilt that I made for our oldest daughter's wedding quilt. It is much prettier than the pictures, but it does give you an idea. I really enjoyed making it. I didn't have it done for the wedding - it was about a year late, but I also made her wedding dress, so that had to be done first!
Hope everyone had a pleasant weekend. Blessings!

Got my Camera Back!!!
Now that I have my camera back, you guys may get tired of me!!! But wanted to share our proud moment at our son's college graduation!!
These are our four children Mollie (20 Jr at TSU), Rygh (22), Mikkie (26), and Mandie (24). Mikkie and Mandie have both also graduated from TSU, so it is a family tradition even though neither Mike nor I attended TSU.
This is Rygh and his girlfriend Lyn - she is 23 and is a nurse at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas.
Blessings

New Border Collie Puppy!!!
I'm looking at getting a new puppy!!!! I have two young dogs (13 months old) that I want to sell and then I can get her!! She is a half sister to another dog that we have, so I'm excited for the possibilities!!! She is 5 weeks old and is bred to work - so hopefully she will be my new trial dog!! Her older sister (I'll post a picture later) is really starting to work cattle, so Mike has taken over her training.

Great weekend!!
It was a busy weekend, but our son is graduated!!!! All the family was there and we had a great time. I also took pictures, but alas I left my camera at my daughter's. Bummer - I'll have to post pics later. But I did post a pic of the quilt I made for our second daughter for her college quilt. Happy Quilting!

Another busy Day!
We are still so very dry here in Central Texas, but we have been blessed to not have fires like other parts of the state. Over 2 million acres have burned, and so many ranchers have lost grazing and livestock.
Mike and I cut more mesquite firewood this morning and I hauled it in the Skid Steer to the wood pile. This is a new venture for me - running the Skid Steer - but I find it challenging and it sure is easier to haul wood!!!
We are cloudy and cool this morning - much better than the 100 degrees we had two days ago. It is sure hard for my garden to grow when it is so hot. In fact I just heard thunder, so I'm praying for a nice rain! Even hear a few sprinkles on the roof.
