Cool down?????

I know many of you have been getting rain, and some have had fires, but here in Texas we've just been HOT!!! But yesterday evening, at chore time (about 7:00) it was only

So, I thought is was cool enough to try on my new, hand knitted socks!!!! No, I didn't knit them, though I would love to learn. My dear blogging friend Nancy knit them for me and I received them yesterday! (For you knitters and any others that just want to know - be sure and visit Nancy's blog - she does some amazing things with those needles!!)

Thanks Bunches Nancy!!! As you can see, they fit perfectly and I love them!! (does anyone else think is weird to take pictures of your own feet!!! Weird perspective! LOL)

It was very generous of Nancy to send you some hand-knitted socks! No, I don't think it is silly to take pictures of my own feet. When I lived in Hawaii, I often took pics of my toes in the sand. I bet you were relieved to have a cold front! We had a picnic last week and while it was only around 80, the humidity was so bad it was still pretty intolerable. (It could have been much, much worse, though.)

Hot, hot, hot, and I'm not talking about the weather. Those socks are hot! What a sweet friend to knit them for you. We had a downpour of rain night before last, hubby said and inch and a half. Love the rain but don't like the lightning storms that accompany them.

Very snazzy socks, Doniene! They look good on you!
We have had the heat and the fires, but not the rain. We have two major fires in the valley right now and I don't like to go out and breath the smoky air. Wish the rains would come!
Isn't it sad when 90 feels like a cool down? : )

What a great friend to share her knitting talents with you! I've so enjoyed my hand-knit socks this year - can't wait for cold weather to enjoy them better :*)

So glad to hear the package arrived and that the socks fit. Hopefully, I sent some cooler temperatures in the package, too. Enjoy, my friend.

Awesome knitted socks... you lucky lady!!! What a sweet gift! I don't think it's strange to take pictures of your feet... I do it on every vacation I go on, strange as it sounds... and now my kids send me similar pics from their vacation spots! I guess I started a weird family tradition...
