That's the name of my latest finish...and it's how I feel about it!! I think this is one of my all time favorite quilts that I have made! It's a quilt for my oldest daughter's best friend and her husband's little baby girl due the first of October!
This is one of those quilts that "just came together". I looked through my stash and put together three fabrics bought at three different times for three different reasons. They had gotten set aside, and I'm so glad that they came together just for this quilt!
I also had fun "practicing" more FMQ motifs! I quilted 5 different ones! Pumpkin seeds in the big pink squares, my version of a 'fleur-de-lis' in the white triangles, triple looped leaves in the brown triangles, the heart leaf vine from Lori's Tuesday Tutorial in the white border and then I did echo scallops below the vine to finish out the pink border. (now I know mine don't look like Lori's - but that is the beauty of FMQ - making it your own!! I think I'm getting a little "radical" or "free spirited" in my aging life!! LOL).
Hope this finds each and every one of you with joy in your heart!

Beautiful quilt! I have always loved brown and pink together. I love the pattern you did in the white triangles...very elegant :)
I love it, too! Is that a cowgirl on the pink fabric? Love it! Your quilting is beautiful. You really used just the right motifs.
Oh, you are such a radical, Doniene!! : )
Will you come and choose the designs for my quilts--and then quilt them? You are doing a beautiful job, nd you just forge ahead and do it. I so admire that. I sit on the sidelines forever dealing with performance anxiety. What a waste.
Doniene, what a precious quilt. The colors go together so well, it looks like you bought the fabrics just for this quilt. The parents and soon-to-be born baby will love it!! Great job on the quilting as well.
Love it! Wonderful when the fabric you have works out so well for you! Great job on the quilting.:)
Awesome Doniene, they will love it! The fabrics and colours are great and your fmq is really getting a good work out! Well done my friend. (hehe love the cowgirls!!)
Darling cowgirls in the baby quilt! What a treasure for the little baby girl! And bravo on your FMQ!!! Getting radical??? Better late than never!

What a lovely quilt! Great job on it and the new FMQ motifs.
Hi my friend, I love this quilt-it is so beautiful and what a wonderful gift. I got two kits in Alaska-one is a small applique square that I hope will help me get over my intimidation of applique. I am going to check out the tutorial-I prefer hand quilting but would love to practice MQ. Sending big hugs to you today!
