Slow Sunday Stitching (and same ole, same ole)

Ever since I started "doing" Slow Sunday Stitching over at Kathy's, I always find something that I need to Hand Stitch! This week it is Gracen's stocking that will hang at my house! My daughter commented, "It's huge, Mom!!!". Of course it is - grandbaby's stockings are suppose to be big at Nene's house!! I sewed it up yesterday, but am embroidering her name and then I will hand stitch some "bling" later. (I'll post a final pic later)

Same ole, same ole...

Barrister blocks, Grandmother's Choice blocks, and FG units.

And New Stuff - go here to get a glimpse of what I've been doing - not getting as much stitching or blogging time!

Hope your holiday season is filled with Peace and Joy!!

What an unusual name. Gracen is a beautiful name and now she'll have a beautiful stocking. You did quite a bit for your slow stitching today. WTG!

Oooh! Fun stocking! Gracious, Doniene -- you've been busy! Is that your home with the icicle lights across the front? How beautiful! And I love your Nativity; it's really lovely. And all the baby cows!! So *sweet*! :)

Gracen's stocking is going to be so cute. I bet it will give her lots of enjoyment in the years to come! Some slow stitching sounds like a perfect way to spend a Sunday!

Such nice blocks. I just don't have time to do applique and piece blocks like those. But I hope to do some in the New Year.

I notice that you are doing embroidery on top of some kind of paper. What is the paper and how do you get rid of it once the stitching is done?

Well of course Gracen's stocking should be big - she needs room to grow into it. It's lovely Doniene! Is the cuff burlap? It looks like a tighter weave than regular burlap - I need to find some of that. Did you find it at Debra's?

You have been a very busy lady--stitching, and decorating. No idle hands here!
