This and That

Yesterday was a great day!! I sewed, went shopping for fabric, ate chicken enchiladas for lunch and met the most amazing new friend!! Karin and I have been blogger buddies for a few months, and yesterday we had the opportunity  to meet in person! I was so excited to get to know her that I forgot to get a picture of us sharing all of the above!! But go on over to her blog and see for yourself what a vivacious woman she is. Her profile picture fits her perfectly!! We are looking forward to the next time we can meet and spend time together.
Karin gifted me the cutest pincushion!! As you can see, it has already been put to use!

And it was packaged is this awesome "Texas" tea towel!!

Cheri has a great little SAL going and here's the update - isn't it darling - I'm just really liking it!!

And lastly, I call this my "MIRACLE BLOCK". It was the February block for the Christmas Greetings BOM that I have been doing. Just to give you a perspective:

6" Block

101 pieces

If I were to do it again, I would have selected a little different fabric choice, but I followed the scheme for the BOM, but I don't think I will do it again!!! LOL

Blessings to Ya'll!!

Oh, I love that pincushion! What fun!
Your little star blocks look like they are going to be awfully cute in their finished state!

WOW...that's an incredible number of pieces for just ONE block! It looks stunning though! How fun that you got to meet a new friend thru blogging! I also love how your Brown Betty project is turning out from Cheri's SAL

I was so excited to meet you and felt like there wasn't enough time to visit. We barely scratched the surface! :) Praise God for new friends! You are a brave lady to piece that insane block! I think you need to frame it - it's beautiful.
