Fabric Search

Janet O. suggested that I do this. I am working on THE WEDDING QUILT (TWQ) and I realized that I do not have enough of one of the fabrics. It was a piece that I pulled out of my stash, so of course it is a discontinued pattern. But surely there is someone out there, who buys fabric and then hoards for "just the right project"

It is called Robert's Country Garden by Robert Callaham for Red Rooster Fabric. The second picture on my monitor is fairly true to the real color - but it is a dark green with small light green vines/flowers with barn red buds.

I would be willing to buy, or do a fabric swap! Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Cherry Limeade & Barrister's Blocks

Yesterday was my 100th post - I can't believe I had that much to say or show! Thanks to all of you for making this an enjoyable experience!!

I finished the Cherry Limeade Flimsy! I love it!! It measures about 37" X 42". I'll have to set it aside for now, as other projects are taking precedence, but I can hardly wait to finish this little beauty!!

Do you think it is an accurate replica of the antique quilt in the book?

I have just loved doing Randy's Sow-A-Long ! And these are the last five blocks!!

Again, if you want a chance to win our guild quilt, just email me you name, address, & phone number and I will donate one ticket for you! The drawing isn't until April 29th. My email is enabled on my profile!

Have a Blessed Day!!!

Fabulous Fifteenth Fabric Freebie!!

Wow, another month gone by! The time sure does fly when you are having fun - or busy - or getting older...

Time for my monthly fabric giveaway. This month's fabric is kind of a hodge podge - ~2 fat eighths of large black & white check, ~2 fat eighths of small black & white plaid, 1/4 yard cut of turquoise & brown flower/paisley, and a fat quarter of bright tonal orange. So approximately a yard of fabric!

In addition, you will receive these:

Which are six chances to win this:

This is our guild raffle quilt for the annual quilt show being held in April. I think it is beautiful!!

Now for the important stuff: if you want a chance to win the fabric and the raffle tickets, just leave a comment on this post and tell me two things:

1. What is your favorite batting and why?

2. What is your favorite quilting magazine? Do you subscribe or just buy on the news stand?

Blessings to Ya'll!!

Apple Brown Betty and Barrister's Sow-a-long!

Good evening fellow quiltaholics!!!

Finished Apple Brown Betty!! The flimsy that is!!! I will set it aside to finish some other projects, but a little quilt that I will probably machine quilt later! As you can see, I'm not able to be quite as 'spontaneous' as Cheri. Even when I try, my hst in the middle came out matched!!! And I just couldn't do one HST in the border out of line!! But I think she is very cute!!!

I'm really enjoying Randy's SAL (button in side bar). I wasn't too sure I was liking my choice of using up my scrap solids, but after I put them all together  - I think I can work with it.

Stayed tuned for the "Fabulous Fifteenth Fabric Freebie". I have a little "extra" this month! See ya Thursday!

BLESSINGS TO YA'LL !!

This and That

Yesterday was a great day!! I sewed, went shopping for fabric, ate chicken enchiladas for lunch and met the most amazing new friend!! Karin and I have been blogger buddies for a few months, and yesterday we had the opportunity  to meet in person! I was so excited to get to know her that I forgot to get a picture of us sharing all of the above!! But go on over to her blog and see for yourself what a vivacious woman she is. Her profile picture fits her perfectly!! We are looking forward to the next time we can meet and spend time together.
Karin gifted me the cutest pincushion!! As you can see, it has already been put to use!

And it was packaged is this awesome "Texas" tea towel!!

Cheri has a great little SAL going and here's the update - isn't it darling - I'm just really liking it!!

And lastly, I call this my "MIRACLE BLOCK". It was the February block for the Christmas Greetings BOM that I have been doing. Just to give you a perspective:

6" Block

101 pieces

If I were to do it again, I would have selected a little different fabric choice, but I followed the scheme for the BOM, but I don't think I will do it again!!! LOL

Quilt Smorgabord - Literally !!

I have had several things that I have wanted to blog about, but just haven't taken the time to sit down and do it. I've just been reading blogs, getting inspired, getting sidetracked.....LOL!!!!

I recently started following Cheri and have enjoyed her work. I've even participated in one of her SAL, so when she said she was starting another, I told myself "Self you CANNOT do it, you have too much to do. You DON'T need another quilt project!!!"

But as many of you know STARS are my undoing!!! So yesterday, I just had to make these little cuties!! They are 3" blocks and I love them!! I can hardly wait to see what she will post today!!

So you are asking "Why Smorgasbord"? Well Cheri named this little beauty "APPLE BROWN BETTY"!

And I'm about 1/2 done with the flimsy for my "CHERRY LIMEADE".

I'm not sure if Apple Betty and Cherry Limeade go together - but they have sure been fun to sew!!
